The joy of a vocation
The joy of a vocation begins when you discover that God’s call is deeply personal — and deeply joyful. God doesn’t call you away from happiness; He calls you into a life filled with meaning, purpose, and love. A vocation is about becoming who you were created to be and offering your life as a gift.
Discerning your vocation doesn’t mean having everything figured out. It means being open, curious, and willing to listen. God often speaks through what brings you peace, what excites your heart, and where you feel drawn to love more generously. Even when questions or doubts arise, there is a quiet joy that grows when you trust God and take the next step with Him.
The Bible encourages us:
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).
As you place your dreams and fears in God’s hands, He gently shapes your heart and leads you toward the path meant just for you.
Mary shows us how joyful a wholehearted “yes” can be. Turning to her, we pray with trust and openness, asking for purity of heart, courage, and faithfulness as we discover and live our vocation.
Prayer
Hail Mary, for the sake of your purity keep me pure in body and soul; open wide to me your heart and the heart of your Son; implore for me deep self-knowledge and the grace to persevere and remain faithful until death. Give me souls; keep all else for yourself. Amen.
