100 Years of Grace: Celebrating Our Jubilee as the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary (1926–2026)
In 2026, we, the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary, celebrate 100 years since the founding of our community — a century shaped by dedication to Christ, deep Marian attachment, and a mission lived in covenant love. This jubilee fills our hearts with gratitude as we reflect on the countless blessings we have received and the ways in which the Blessed Mother has guided our family over the decades.
A Community Born from a Prophetic Vision
When Father Joseph Kentenich founded our Secular Institute in 1926, he entrusted us with the mission of making Mary present in the world through our being, our service, and the witness of everyday sanctity. What began with a small group of women gathered around the Original Shrine in Germany soon grew into an international community marked by loyalty, zeal, and deep faith.
Our founder and the first sisters believed strongly that Mary wished to act through us — shaping the world from within, helping souls encounter Christ, and bringing dignity, hope, and love to places in need. This vision carried us far beyond the borders of Germany and into the life of the universal Church.
A Jubilee of Gratitude
As we celebrate 100 years of grace, our hearts overflow with thankfulness:
- for every Sister who has quietly and faithfully lived her covenant;
- for every apostolate shaped by Marian generosity;
- for every person whose life has been touched through our mission;
- for the countless ways Divine Providence has sustained us.
This jubilee is not only a celebration of the past — it is also an invitation to renew our dedication:
- to trust more deeply in God’s Providence,
- to live more completely from the covenant of love,
- and to give ourselves courageously to the mission entrusted to us.
As we mark this centenary, we stand in gratitude before the Blessed Mother, confident that she will continue to guide us into the next century of service, discipleship, and Marian fruitfulness.
